Lord Xu's fond wish he never came to know.
Returning late, this gift he'd freely give,
Hanging it high where memories still live.

誰料徐君意欲將
既返願為相贈答
且懸樹下表情長
Interpretation
Wu Jizi carried his prized Fishgut Sword while traveling abroad. When passing Xu State, Lord Xu admired it deeply. Jizi planned to gift the sword after completing his journey, but upon returning, found Lord Xu had died. He hung the sword on a tree by the grave as a lasting tribute. This sign advises: fulfill your duties sincerely without obsessing over outcomes beyond your control. Though the situation appears unfavorable, true integrity lies in acting with pure intention regardless of consequences.
