Zhuang Zhou's Butterfly Dream

Fair

Poem

Zhuang Zhou, deep in slumber, dreams he's a butterfly

Fluttering freely midst blossoms dancing high

After sipping heaven's fragrance, he returns

Yet still lies wrapped in warm bedding's sigh

莊周酣眠成蝶夢

翩翩飛入百花叢

天香探得歸來後

猶在高床暖枕中

Interpretation

The ancient philosopher Zhuang Zhou dreamed he transformed into a butterfly, fluttering among flowers to gather nectar. Upon waking, he found himself still in his warm bed. This illusion signifies that matters may appear more fanciful than substantial when obtaining this sign. While there's little concrete gain, there's also no major hindrance - the omen carries a carefree, leisurely essence.
