Stick #50
Wu Zixu's Escape
GoodPoem
Recall Wu Zixu in days of old,
Fleeing to rivers where fishers rowed.
Offered his sword in grateful exchange,
But noble friends refuse such wage.
記得當年伍子胥
潛奔難渡幸逢漁
欲將寶劍相持贈
大義交朋卻也辭
Interpretation
Wu Zixu, a Chu nobleman fleeing persecution, was aided by a fisherman who refused any reward. This sign advises against greed—do good deeds without expectation of recognition or repayment. Prioritize righteousness over material gain. Though challenges appear, this is ultimately a fortunate omen where danger conceals blessings. All endeavors will proceed smoothly without major obstacles.
