Interpretation

The flower shadows encroaching on the steps and the moon's reflection in the sky signal illusions. When you hear the crane's sorrowful cry (a bad omen), you must quickly change course and return to safety. This sign advises recognizing warning signs early and retreating from danger. Though there's misfortune within good fortune, vigilance can turn peril to advantage. Beware of petty people, disputes, and gossip. The wise path is timely withdrawal when ill omens appear.
